A platform for systematic High Throughput Screening (HTS) to identify Elicitors from the most relevant pathogens including the major groups of fungi, bacteria and oomycete is currently being developed by our scientists. We employ cutting-edge and automated equipment, greatly increasing our output. This HTS platform also enables identifying plant molecules that function as activators of plant immunity. As a result, HTS determines the immune response of plant cell cultures and seedlings upon exposure to potential natural plant protection products.
This strategy enables us to identify compounds that activate plant resistance to pathogens, and their later validation on adult plants. Finally, this recognition mechanism is conserved in all plant species, including the most relevant crops.
